This Mahwah estate tells a story of evolution—proof that beautiful spaces can keep growing with the people who love them. Years after designing the original patio, fire pit, and freestanding walls, the homeowners returned to Magic to complete the picture with a new custom barbecue. With expert craftsmanship and precise material matching, the addition feels not like a new chapter, but a natural continuation of the original vision. Built with Umbriano pavers from Unilock, this outdoor living space is layered with style, function, and flow—each zone distinct, yet in harmony.

Project Challenges

The biggest challenge wasn’t building—it was blending. The original project had a strong design identity, and any new element had to match both in tone and material. To avoid overwhelming the space, Magic focused on cohesion through clean lines and thoughtful restraint. By using the same Unilock paver system and leaning into contrast and texture, the team ensured the new barbecue complemented the design without crowding it. With multiple focal points already in play, the result still feels open, calm, and inviting.
